WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF HOMEWORK???
Going to school is one of the sweetest memories for most grown-up people they consider it the best time in their lives. It was the time they enjoyed the most. Following the same daily routine every day for years certain time frame of vacations both in summers as well as in winters. But, in this beautiful picturesque one thing that was quite haunting was homework!
I hated to do my homework in childhood and always wondered why this sort of thing was invented. Homework has been an important integral part of the education system for centuries and it has gained its importance with time. However, it’s not clear when and by whom this process was created.
But, yes some proven facts consider homework of utmost importance are as follow:
- In-depth understanding of the topic: homework provides an opportunity for students to practice what has been taught in class and explore where they lack. So, that next day he gets to clear all the doubts. And gain command over the topic taught in the class.
- Enhancement of Memory: when the teacher allows certain tasks to a student in the form of homework it helps the student to go through the taught things again. Hence increasing the memory and retention power.
- Enhancement of Learning: when the student takes the initiative to learn things on his own this builds the habit of searching for the relevant things as well. This not only enhances knowledge in depth but also gives a clear and detailed understanding of the Strong Preparation.
When a student engages in homework then apart from completing his assignment. He is also prepared for unit tests and exams. Hence getting an edge over other students, who do not take homework seriously. Development of skills to manage time. students who are punctual with their assignments learn the skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Moreover, other skills like responsibility and self-discipline are also gained.
CONCLUSION
Although, being a student I was not able to understand the importance of homework and most of the time did not take it seriously. But, now I would like to advise all the students, who are reading this post. To take their assignments seriously and work on it with sincerity. Because practice makes a man perfect and homework is nothing but Practice.
